Your Membership Makes a Difference!!! Join or renew your membership with the SIU Alumni Association.
The SIU Alumni Association was founded in 1896 by a group of graduating students who wanted to continue their involvement with the University.
Today, the Alumni Association consists of alumni, students, and friends that are proud to be Salukis! Southern has over 215,000 living graduates in every state of our nation and in over 130 countries.
A few of the programs your membership supports are as follows:
*Scholarship opportunities
*Development of alumni chapters and clubs, and support of their off-campus activities
*Homecoming and member appreciation events
*Student Alumni Council (SAC)
*The award-winning Extern Program for SIU students
*The PRESTO Program -- designed to support colleges and constituent groups.
On a quarterly basis, you will receive the Southern Alumni magazine, which features alumni accomplishments and keeps you in touch with your University. You also will read about chapter events and opportunities to register for these events. Twice a year you will also receive Saluki Pride newsletter, a supplement to the magazine. And, of course, you will enjoy the benefits of savings afforded members on SIU-imprinted apparel, car rentals, motel rooms, restaurant specials, and more.
